Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs was arrested on Sunday for the second time in three weeks, and he is facing some very disturbing allegations.

Jail records in Tuscaloosa, Ala., showed that Buggs was taken into custody Sunday on a domestic violence/burglary charge. According to a new report from TMZ, the arrest came after Buggs was accused of dragging the mother of his child down a set of stairs.

A woman told police that Buggs broke into her Tuscaloosa residence using a tire iron at 5:28 a.m. on Sunday. The alleged victim claims Buggs went up the stairs to confront her and then dragged her down the stairs, causing several of her “clip-on toenails” to break off. Officers also observed “scratch marks” on the woman’s wrist.

Buggs allegedly left the scene after the woman told him she was calling police. Buggs’ white Cadillac was located in a nearby Little Caesars parking lot, where he was placed under arrest.

The arrest marked Buggs’ second trip to Tuscaloosa County Jail in the last three weeks. The former Alabama star turned himself in on May 30 after two misdemeanor arrest warrants were issued stemming from animal cruelty allegations. Police reportedly found two dogs — a pit bull, and a Rottweiler mix — on the back porch of a house without access to food or water. The home was being rented out by Buggs. Buggs was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 306-pound tackle played three seasons with the Steelers before spending his last two campaigns with the Detroit Lions.

Buggs signed with the Chiefs as a practice player in January before landing a futures contract with the team the following month.
