Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown is spearheading an effort to imitate the now-famous “Tight End University” held annually by the league’s top tight ends.

Brown appealed to his fellow receivers on Wednesday to make like the tight ends and get together on a yearly basis to learn from each other. Brown noted that defensive backs and pass rushers do the same, and thinks it is time for the receivers to follow suit.

Brown’s idea attracted at least one interested party.

Brown was likely inspired by the fact that Tight End University took place this weekend. George Kittle has spearheaded that effort and it has become bigger and bigger with each passing year. The event is designed to help NFL tight ends learn from each other and improve at their craft.

Such an event would be logistically difficult, but if the tight ends can pull it off, there is no reason the receivers can’t. Given how hugely popular it has become at the tight end position, it might be a good idea.
