The Indiana Pacers have suffered a big blow ahead of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Star guard Tyrese Haliburton will not play in Game 3, according to Shams Charania and Joe Vardon of The Athletic. Haliburton is dealing with a re-injury of his left hamstring, which caused him to leave Game 2 in the third quarter.

Haliburton had pushed to play, but team doctors made the final decision to hold him out of the game.

This is not a huge surprise, but it is a major blow for the Pacers. They are already behind 2-0 to the Boston Celtics, and Haliburton has been by far their best player in the postseason. Without him, some other players like Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner are going to have to step up in a big way.

Haliburton is averaging 18.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in the playoffs so far. It remains to be seen if he has a chance of returning for Game 4.
